The Health Centre has set up a Patient Participation Group, so why not come along to discuss your ideas and hear about planned changes.

Our Fourth Patient Reference Group meeting will take place at:

What is a Patient Participation Group?

At its simplest, Patient Participation refers to patients taking an active interest in their healthcare. At present, most Patient Participation Groups operate within GP surgeries and health centres. Their priorities are developed and agreed locally in order to meet local needs and to reflect the interests and energies of the participants.

Patient participation can benefit both patients and practices. Having a patient participation group creates a connection between the practice and its patients; allowing open, constructive discussion and analysis of services, and offering an alternative perspective on many of the topics relevant to general practice.

We are not a forum for clinical complaint - but we can defuse more general concerns through open discussion. Please register your interest by calling Miss Helen Kelly on 01244 680 169 or by calling into the surgery and completing leaflets at reception and we will be in touch!

Dear Patient,

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff. 

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
